About Us Rare
Earth magnet material with its unique super concentrated magnetic
field was the force behind the establishment of Innovative
Magnetics, more than 35 years ago.
Innovative Magnetics was
established
to
maximize the use of Rare Earth
material. That goal will always continue to be paramount at
Innovative Magnetics. Permanent magnetic
separator establishments of the time were using alnico, and ceramic
magnets, the magnet materials of their time. Their (nearly 100 year
old) designs remained the same and Rare Earth magnet material simply
replaced the older magnet material without consideration of a
re-design for this uniquely different magnet material.
Rare Earth magnet material differences are… a
concentrated magnetic force at the surface and close to the surface
for compact and improved application. New magnetic separators
developed only by Innovative Magnetics refreshed the permanent
magnetic equipment industry. Innovative incorporated new magnetic shapes and
circuitry to take advantage of surface strengths that are up to 50
time greater than the older magnet material. Older magnet material did
not concentrate magnetism and therefore did not lend themselves as
well to direct contact and compact design.
As a result, separators using alnico
and ceramic magnets were heavy, awkward and often impractical. Additionally…. extensive
R&D enabled Innovative Magnetics
to discover and patent helical polarity
found in the Spiral Magnet.
The patent not only offers direct
product contact with the magnet it also insures each and every
particle comes in contact with the strongest area in a magnetic
circuit (the pole).
Another advantage
of the design is the ability of the magnet to continuously
self-clean while in operation.
